Booking cancelled by the host: When you cancel a confirmed booking, you won't receive any payment. But more importantly: your confirmation rate will be negatively influenced. Think about it before you cancel. A low confirmation rate decreases your chance to receive future bookings.
Booking cancelled by the direct Withlocals guest:
- 7 days or less before the starting time of the booking:
If a guest cancels 7 days or less before the experience date, the host will receive a 100% payment except for the 24 hours cancelation window after purchase. If a guest cancels with more than 7 days before the experience date, the host will not be compensated.
-
24 hour cancelation window after purchase:
However, a guest has a right to change their mind within 24 hours after the purchase. Meaning that even if a booking is made less than 7 days before the experience, the guest can cancel within 24 hours after the purchase and be fully refunded. In such a case, the host does not receive any compensation.
-
Same day bookings:
In the case of a same-day booking, meaning that the starting time is within less than 24 hours, the host will receive full payment.
Cancellation from partner companies:
For partner cancelation policies, Withlocals will act only as a distributor and will apply the cancelation policies of each of the partner platforms. In case of a cancelation, as a host, you'll be compensated according to the outside rules defined in the specific partner cancelation policies.
Learn more about partner-specific cancelation policies in the host learning center.
Booking Requests rejected/withdrawn/expired before confirmation:
All bookings must be confirmed within 48 hours. If you reject or don’t confirm within this time range, the booking request expires and no payment will be made to you. This also counts when the guest withdraws the booking request before you confirm it. Make sure you click on that “Confirm” button!
Force Majeur Cancellation Policy
In case of extreme weather conditions, such as storms, typhoons, floods, earthquakes or any natural disasters, we will always refund the guest. This means that the host will not be paid out.
