Our hosts can select their favorite payment method. For some bookings, you will only be required to pay the reservation fee online, while, for others, you will be required to pay the full amount online. See more information about payment methods here: How do I pay for my booking.
If you are charged only for the reservation fee, it means that your host prefers to be paid in cash at the time of the experience. You will therefore need to pay the remaining amount to your host at the moment of the experience. If that is the case, we recommend that you discuss the payment (currency etc.) with your host beforehand!
If you made the full payment online you will be discharged from any other payment obligation to the host.
Additionally, your host may request an extra payment if they have personalized the offer for you. Some of the most common reason why our host may ask for extra are the following:
- Creating customized offer for you
- Extra tastings(food tours)
- Extra stops
- The duration of the tour is longer than the standard one
- Pick up/ drop off, when not included in the price
- Adding extra guests
In most of these cases, your host will send you a personalized offer, which can be accepted or refused, so that you can pay the amount online safely.
In case your host selected cash as a payment method, or if the extra costs come from last minute changes, your host may ask to be paid directly on the tour.
